The Lost World Outdoor Theatre

Seaton Jurassic Visitor Centre, Seaton Devon

Dinosaurs! Prehistoric thrills, monster laughs and life-size dinosaurs abound in the must see show of the summer! Illyria has an unmatched reputation for innovation in the open-air touring theatre sector, where they are the first company to tackle a show in this genre and of this scope.

Four intrepid explorers, led by the redoubtable Professor Challenger, travel to an uncharted plateau in South America following a few scant directions scribbled in a sketch book. They find flora and fauna beyond their wildest dreams, become involved in tribal warfare between apemen and indigenous humans, and encounter terrifying dinosaurs previously believed to be extinct. But when their camera is destroyed in an accident what evidence can they produce to prove that these creatures actually exist? Unless, of course, they bring live specimens back to London in “unbreakable” crates to reveal to an astounded public. What could possibly go wrong?

Recommended for children aged 5 and over and their families.

Running time: 1 hour 50 minutes including 20 minute interval. Doors open 5.30pm. Refreshments available.

(Bring your own low backed seating, blanket and a cushion). This is an outdoor event. Cancellation only in the event of hurricane when performance will be rescheduled. Tickets are non-refundable. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Family Ticket(2+2) £40 (plus booking fee). Adult Ticket £14 (plus booking fee). Child and Concessions £12 (plus booking fee).

Seaton Eats Boutique

Jubilee Gardens, Seaton Devon

Drink in the views and soak up the beach, nourish your friendships and taste the world.

Now in its 3rd year Seaton Eats Boutique has become a firm favourite in the community calendar. It offers you top quality, freshly cooked global street food whilst you enjoy Seaton’s views of the Jurassic coast. The market takes place during the evening of the first Friday of the summer months, May – September. Each event invites different vendors so no two markets are the same. Locally reared pork, the infamous Persian chicken wrap, Japanese street food, patisserie desserts, local ales and prosecco cocktails – find them at Seaton Eats Boutique 2017.

Last year’s events were a hit with locals and visitors alike. Come and see what all the talk was about. Everyone is welcome (except dogs – the aromas are just too good to ignore) and there is access for those on wheels, chairs for those who creak, and grass if you like a picnic rug. Perhaps you prefer a quieter spot somewhere along Seaton’s mile long stretch of pebble beach.
