Our geological, wildlife habitat and landscape have achieved national and international acclaim with World Heritage Site status, three European Special Areas of Conservation, East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and numerous local wildlife designations. Seaton’s setting is enchanting. Approach from the top of Seaton Down Hill and you’ll see the whole expanse of the Axe valley and the magnificent Lyme Bay stretching before you.
Seaton is the only place in the country where all three Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods can be seen at once. It’s a great town to visit if you want to explore the Jurassic Coast with its easy access to attractions, Jurassic coastline and lovely towns and villages.
