Coastal Craft Collective
Your children can enjoy making paper from cotton and recycled paper. They can add petals, bits of thread, seaweed or photo copied pictures and more to personalise their work with different sizes and shapes. They can choose from a selection of materials provided or bring items to put in the paper.
Paper making is rather wet so it’s best if they wear old clothes and bring some old newspapers and a pack of cheap j-cloths or cut up rags to take their work home.
The price includes all materials, a drink and biscuits.
Janine worked as a primary school teacher and recently retired from the classroom. She has always been passionate about the arts and led art and DT in many of her teaching posts. She has explored many aspects of art but always returned to paper as a favourite medium. She recently moved to Charmouth and works from her garage to make paper from local plants.
If you’d like to try paper making at home, we have a paper making craft kit.
