Double delights Coming to Town for Christmas!


Seaton will be getting double measures this year! Not only is Santa Claus coming to Town, Queen Victoria will also be visiting during the Festive Season.

Shoppers are in for a treat again in the run up to Christmas.  Seaton’s celebrations will get underway on Dec 2nd when the Xmas lights are turned on and the Seaton Carnival heralds in the arrival of Father Christmas. The following day Seaton’s traditional Christmas Artisan Market will start at 10am on Windsor Gardens. Beautiful hand-crafted Christmas gifts and products from high quality traders with everything from artisan glass work, wood carving and beautiful jewellery though to hand-made fudge and well as traditional mulled wine will be available.

On Saturday December 10th a royal visit will take place. Queen Victoria will be arriving at the Victorian Artisan Market on Windsor Gardens and the Town Square at 10am.  She will be accompanied by her friends Seaton’s Town Crier, Scrooge – who is rumored to be on stilts! and Victorian characters on traders stands and roaming around. There will be a host of entertainment during the day including dancing characters courtesy of JMDancefit, music from Seaton Primary School Choir and Victorian musicians and more.

ready, set, BAKE!! Seaton Artisan Bake off is coming

On Saturday 5th Dec, at 10am, Seaton Artisan Christmas Market starts.

This year the first Xmas Artisan Bake off contest will be running.
Prizes for all age groups from pre-school to adult are up for grabs. Entry forms are available from the Town Council offices or so get baking and bring your entry to the market on the day before 11am. More info at

Christmas Lights and late night Shopping in Seaton

Whatever you like at Christmas, Seaton Town Council and Town Development Team have festive treats galore lined up for everyone this year.

The fun starts Dec 4th with the annual Lights Ceremony and Late Night shopping, with a host of town centre shops will open their doors this year. Seaton Primary School’s choir kick off the event from 4pm with carols at Windsor Gardens, followed by Seaton Majorettes and a procession to the Town Square where Seaton’s Mayor, Councillor Tony Woodman will turn on the brand new Christmas lights just after 6pm. Axe Valley Community Choir will herald in the arrival of Santa alongside horse and carriage rides,  Xmas grottos, fun at the library, a pet Xmas at Animal Botanical, festive food from cafes, restaurants, pubs and Seaton Eats as well as a fun snow disco at the Square .
