Seaton will be getting double measures this year! Not only is Santa Claus coming to Town, Queen Victoria will also be visiting during the Festive Season.
Shoppers are in for a treat again in the run up to Christmas. Seaton’s celebrations will get underway on Dec 2nd when the Xmas lights are turned on and the Seaton Carnival heralds in the arrival of Father Christmas. The following day Seaton’s traditional Christmas Artisan Market will start at 10am on Windsor Gardens. Beautiful hand-crafted Christmas gifts and products from high quality traders with everything from artisan glass work, wood carving and beautiful jewellery though to hand-made fudge and well as traditional mulled wine will be available.
On Saturday December 10th a royal visit will take place. Queen Victoria will be arriving at the Victorian Artisan Market on Windsor Gardens and the Town Square at 10am. She will be accompanied by her friends Seaton’s Town Crier, Scrooge – who is rumored to be on stilts! and Victorian characters on traders stands and roaming around. There will be a host of entertainment during the day including dancing characters courtesy of JMDancefit, music from Seaton Primary School Choir and Victorian musicians and more.
More information about the Christmas activities will be posted in due course on the official Seaton Devon website www.seatondevon.org
